Adult Protective Services (APS): Package grocery bags full of food every other Friday for distribution. Contact: John Stokes.
Altar Guild: Maintain the altar and all aspects of the Nave, preparing the proper paraments, communion supplies and vessels. Contact: Sharon Wagner
Wednesday Bible Study w/Pastor Berggren: Small group Bible study and discussion. Meets every Wednesday at 12noon.
Building and Grounds: Volunteer to help with repairs, maintenance and set ups/takedowns for group meetings and events. Contact: Alan Lambeth
Choir: Make a joyful noise singing at Services! Meets on Wednesdays at 11:00am for practices and Sundays before church. Contact: Rob Carty
Coffee Fellowship: Get together before and after church in the Family Life Center (Gym) for fellowship. Sign-up sheet available in to bring snacks and help cleanup. Contact: Wendy Lambeth
Contemporary Theology Seminar: Course led by Pastor Berggren Wednesday evenings, November 5, 12, 19 and December 3, 10 and 17, 2025, from 7 – 9pm.
Fellowship Club (formerly the Friendship Club): Share meals and get to know each other better. Meets on 3rd Saturday of each month. Contact: Nancy Beamesderfer
Heavenly Quilters: Meets off campus to quilt and sew. Contact: Hanne Lore Sunder
Homebound Care Package Ministry Group: Creating small packages filled with gifts and sundries to lift the spirits of our homebound church community. Contact: Julie Richter
Lay Readers: Read the scriptures during worship services. Contact: Nancy Beamesderfer
Lutheran World Relief: Organization that WELCA helps to support by supplying personal care kits and layettes. Contact: Penny Schick
Men’s Breakfast Group (& Auxiliary — Ladies welcome too!): Meets at a local restaurant for breakfast at 9am on the 1st Wednesday of each month. Contact: John Wenger
Nursery Attendants: Volunteers to staff the nursery during Sunday worship services
Prayers & Eucharist volunteers: Read the weekly prayers and help serve the Lord’s Supper during worship services. Contact: Nancy Beamesderfer
Prayer Pals: Be matched up with a preschooler from the Holy Cross Early Learning Center to pray over and encourage them throughout the school year. Contact: Sharon Wagner
Roundtable Discussion Group: Collaborative book study group that meets at 10am on Wednesdays (except for the 1st Wednesday of the month.) Contact: Julie Kilkenny
Ruth Circle: Women’s monthly Bible study and fellowship group. Meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 1:00pm at Holy Cross. Contact: Nancy Beamesderfer, Charlotte Jaster
Tellers: Count the offering after the worship service each week. Contact: Ricki Finstad
Upcycled Crafty Ladies: Making crafts out of items gifted to Holy Cross, hosting craft shows at HCLC, as well as participating in other area craft shows. Contact: Barbara Neumann, Wendy Lambeth.
Ushers: Volunteer teams that help ensure smooth-running worship services. Traditional usher terms are for one month; however, volunteers are also needed to fill in when teams are short-staffed. Contact: Julie Kilkenny
Vacation Bible School: A week of Bible learning for kids during the summer. Contact: Wendy Lambeth
