Lenten
Chick Challenge
The Season
of Lent reminds us of God's generosity and our calling to extend
these blessings to others. In this spirit, Holy Comforter Lutheran
Church and School would like to invite you to participate in the
Lenten Chick Challenge to make a difference, one clutch of chicks
at a time, through the ELCA Good Gifts program. For a $10 dollar
donation, a family in need can receive a clutch of 8-10 chicks.
These chicks, as they grow, provide a continuous supply of
protein-rich eggs and the potential to start a small business,
generating a steady income. Our goal is to provide at least 50
clutches by Easter Sunday, with the hope of reaching 100 clutches
through the generosity of our congregation. Additionally, two
generous families have pledged to match our donations, up to 100
clutches, tripling the impact of our efforts.
Let us come together in this season of Lent, sharing God's love and
blessings with those in need. Together, we can make a significant
difference in the lives of many. Thank you for your generosity and
commitment to Go Deeper with Christ and the call to Go and Make
Disciples as we Discover our Faith, Grow in Community, and Live
God’s Mission. Contact Linda Utecht or the church office at office@godeeperwithchrist.org
for more details.
And if there is anyone interested in matching the second 100
clutches of chicks, reach out to Linda Utecht
at dandlu5103@gmail.com.
