Cocktail Hour for Solar Power!

Much of Guatemala is mountainous and prone to thunderstorms, landslides, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. These natural occurrences cause frequent power outages which can dramatically affect the learning quality of our students who may find themselves in school for days at a time without power. However, Guatemala is incredibly sunny! To combat this problem, we've partnered with the Engineering Collaboratory at Messiah University in Pennsylvania to design and install a solar power system for Hope Academy. Not only are their engineers going to install the system AT COST, but they've also a match for half the cost of the project!

Join us at Da Gama on April 3 at 6pm for some amazing cocktails, delicious food, and the power of community as we work to raise $7,500 to fund this solar power initiative. See you there!
