Preach at the Beach 2025: A New Thing!

  • January 28, 2025, 9am-4:30pm
  • Lutherhill, Galveston
  • $70 for the day (includes breakfast, lunch & program)
  • Double occupancy housing $50/night

Preachers and ministry leaders, come down to the beach and join your colleagues in sparking imaginations for Lent. We will engage the texts (Ash Wednesday through Palm Sunday), explore liturgical options, sing new hymns, and imagine homiletical possibilities in an interactive setting led by Bishop Mike. Come for the day or turn it into a personal preaching preparation retreat by staying one or two nights.

Youth Ministry Network Meeting

Our next Youth Ministry Network meeting will be Thursday, January 9 at 10:30 AM at Living Word in Katy (3700 S Mason Rd, Katy, TX 77450) and on Zoom! We will be discussing Lent planning and resources. Contact Deacon Ben Remmert at benremmert@ctkelc.org for the Zoom link. Join us on Facebook for discussions all month long.

 

 

You and your family are invited to Peace, Slidell, LA, on January 10-12 for the Best. Weekend. Ever! Lutherhill ministries is going on the road to bring the magic of camp to Louisiana in partnership with the congregations of the Bayou Conference. There will be campfire, song, bounce houses, and games. To register you can call Christ the King, Kenner at 504-469-4740 or email Pastor Laura Stephenson. Y'all come down to the bayou and have beaucoup fun! Learn more and register.

 

 

Explore Retreat at Lutherhill: a gathering for 1st – 6th grade youth to explore camp, March 28-30, 2025 at Lutherhill! Calling all happy campers! Come out to the Hill explore all that camp has to offer – from the giant swing to slingshot, arts & crafts to campfire worship. This is a great opportunity for anyone who’d like to take a trial run at camp for a full weekend retreat before coming out for a whole week in the summer OR for the seasoned campers to get in a little camp fun before Summer.
