Join
the Synod's Youth Ministry Team
The Youth
Ministry Team has been working diligently on the Youth Ministry
resolution to suggest ways to strengthen youth ministry in our
synod. They have a draft report prepared and are excited to start
working on it, even before assembly starts. One of the first
priorities is to gather youth ministry resources: curriculums,
Bible studies, retreats, fundraisers, leadership, etc.
If you would like to be part of this newly focused team, contact
Pastor Paul Zoch at anormaljoe@hotmail.com.

Nominate

Lutheran
Summer Music Academy & Festival (LSM) is a residential academy

recognized faculty, and are immersed in musical experiences through
large ensembles (Choir, Band and Symphony Orchestra), chamber
music, private lessons, elective classes, ongoing recitals and
concerts. Students also experience a welcoming and joyful community
that worships together daily, offering musical gifts through
Lutheran liturgy and hymnody. LSM 2024 takes place at Valparaiso
University in Indiana from June 30-July 28 and is open to students
who have completed grades 8-12. Spots for LSM 2024 are filling

In 2024
the Gulf Coast Synod will expand our impact. With an
increase in Mission Support of $60,000 in 2024, we will sustain
our strong ministry while significantly investing in leaders for
God’s church. Through a lay school, we will raise the preparation
and capacity of leaders in our congregations. We will ensure that
our existing rostered leaders have excellent continuing education
opportunities.
We invite your congregation to return your Mission Support Estimate so we
can immediately implement these priorities.

TLGCS
Youth Ministry Network meets once a month on the first Thursday
of the month during the school year at 10:30 am both on Zoom and
in person at Living Word Lutheran in Katy, Texas. It is a time
for learning and fellowship between those who work with children
and youth in our synod. Everyone is welcome – paid and volunteer,
lay and clergy! We know we are better together, and we love to
share ideas and lift each other up.
On March 7, 10:30 am
we will be talking about mission trips. Join via Zoom (passcode 442199).
If you have questions, please contact Sara Ray or Deacon Ben Remmert or join
our lively Facebook group for meeting
minutes and great discussion throughout the month.

Just
think of the lives your congregation could impact if your members
grew their giving by 10%-15% next year! This is exactly the goal
of Stewardship for All Seasons, a two-year, comprehensive
process. SAS congregations embrace an impactful annual appeal and
move into other vital realms of a culture of generosity:
Communications and Story-Telling, Strategic Planning, Endowments,
Special Appeals, Volunteer Recruitment, and Donor Cultivation
The Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod invites you to a virtual
informational session to meet Rev. Pete Reuss, the SAS
facilitator, and learn more about the process on Tuesday, March 12 at 7:00pm. Contact synod@gulfcoastsynod.org to
receive the Zoom link or with any questions.
